Facebook just bought Oculus VR for 2 billions!
Because he wants to be present on the platforms of the future, and because the Oculus Rift is a new way to see and grasp the world . According to him, virtual reality can become the next dominant feature. He missed the mobile turning point, he doesn’t want to miss this new one.
He added that Oculus Rift for gaming is just a beginning. He wants to make the Oculus Rift a new platform for a lot of other experiences, the new social platform. “Imagine enjoying a court side seat at a game, studying in a classroom of students and teachers all over the world or consulting with a doctor face-to-face — just by putting on goggles in your home.” Purchasing the Oculus, Marc Zuckerberg shows us that 360 video is the future, it will be ever-present in our lives.
According to him, it’s a new way to communicate, play, and to see the world around us. He tells that it’s an unforgettable experience which permits a lot of new projects. Marc Zuckerberg makes us think that the new trend will be 360 video, and he wants to be a big player in the evolution of this new technology.
Why is it important for VideoStitch?
We truly think 360 video is the future of videos. And the Oculus Rift is a very good platform to watch 360 videos. It’s interesting to see that Oculus first targets video games, but Mark Zuckerberg is targeting other projects.
We think Mark Zuckerberg is talking about video projects, and we like this idea because the best experience we can have with an Oculus is a panoramic video.
We hope this new acquisition will not denature the original company – Oculus was crowd funded by kickstarter – but we see this as an opportunity to make this technology even more accessible to everyone. VideoStitch works to give you a new way to see life, a new experience, and this big news makes us want to continue for you to can live this great experience, the panoramic video way of life.
